ELIZABETH THORP
Liz explores themes related to interdependence and autonomy in her work. She draws inspiration from our built environment and our domestic surroundings. Concrete, steel, plastic, and drywall abut fabric, found furniture, and picture frame molding. The resulting works are sometimes objects, other times kinetic and installation spaces inspired by human interactions. Liz was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her BFA in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design in 2007. Liz lives and works in San Francisco, CA.
